Mr Murpliv, secretary id the Shannon Club, is "in receipt of Ihe original conditions from Mr Dustin, in respect to tlie “Mangahao Ferns.” Air Dustin says in liis letter that with a view to keeping the MaNigahau hydro scheme before the public he donated a. set u*l small silver lents to ibe known as the Man gab an Ferns, and he enclosed the following conditions as suggested by the first competition (Palmerston and Shannon bowlers) 1 1) Competition to be open to any rink from the Shannon or Palmerston North Bowling Clubs. (2) Games to be played in order of challenge, excepting that a rink from opposing Club takes precedence over a. rink from, the Club holding same. * , (3) The holders of the “Ferns when the Mongolian hydro electric scheme is completed (-officially declared open) become (the individual owners of same. , ~ . -M present t-lie.‘‘Ferns” are held by a Shannon, rink. ,
