The ‘Stage had been nicely decorated for the occasion with pale blue and yellow streamers hiking the form of a trellis with climbing roses. Combined with the White frocks worn by the young lady .performers the decorations gave a, most bright land pi easing effeei. Tou much praise cannot tie given Miss Neale and her assistant, Mr W. The iittle Misses Josephine and Freda Thompson were the vocalists of the evening and fairly captivated the audience with their character songs, receiving numerous recalls and proving them’selves io be artists of no mean order. Their accompanists were little Miss Nonce Ewan Balfour and Master Sclwyn Franks on the cello and violin. Afterwards each was presented with a. box of chocolates. All the other performers gave, a creditable rendering of their various, items and quite a number 'were, just as proficient with both the piano and stringed instruments, the whole performance reflecting great credit on Miss Neale’s ' ability, as a teacher of the. piano and g fringed instruments.
