GOLF NOTES.

Final arrangements have been made for the opening of the golf season on the Shannon links, and provided the weather is fine to-morrow a goodly muster of enthusiasts of the sport may he expected. All new. members, as well as old and others interested in the game are cordially invited to attend tiie opening of the season. Afternoon tea will be provided at the golf house, and lyjdy members are requested to bring the very necessary basket. Play will consist of mixed foursomes and in order to avoid congestion on the course members are asked to be ready to play as soon is possible after 1.30 p.m. ! The first medal match, that- for May, will be played on Saturday, May 17, and sucli x matches will be played each month (luring the season. Already four inter-club matches have been arranged,- and with the prospects of two more a very busy-season is predicted.
