HOROWHENUA RUGBY UNION.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE meets. Tlie weekly meeting of the BoiowHenua Rugby Union Management Committee was held on Tuesday evenmg the president (Mr E. Nash) being in the chair. There were also present Messrs Dimock, O’Rourke, Robinson Hutchin, Hardy, and O’Connor. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Austin and Carmichael, both of whom, were absent in Wellington on business. A letter was recived from Mr Morgan thanking the Union for the donation of a fdotball to the Shannon Sohooil,—Received.

TRIAL MARCH. The Wellington, Rugby Union wrote that in connection with the. Trial match between teams composed of Honowhenua, Wairarapa, Bush Union, and Wellington on the one side and’ Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki and Ring Country on the other, selectors m the ratio of one from each of Horn. when/ua, Blush Union and Wairarapa and two from Wellington would meet in Wellington on the 13th May to pick a. team to play in Wanganui on May 17 th. On the motion of Mr But chins seconded by Mr Dimock, it was decided that, the letter be referred to the selector for the Union.

It was pointed out that the Horowhenua representatives would probably have to travel to Wanganui on the 14'tfh as there would ordbably be a few days practice before the match. Proposed toy Mr Bardie, seconded by Mr Robinson, that it be a recommendation to Clutos to have the jerseys of senior teams numbered.— Carried. • » • SUSPENSION OF PLAYER.

F. M'organ waited on the Union asking that his suspension until June, imposed by last year’s Gommitt'ee, should be lifted.

After consideration it was amoved by Mr Hardy and seconded by Mr Dimock, that the suspension be allowed to stand. ■ ' •It was agreed that it be left to Mr O’Connor to see the Referees’ Association regarding the appointment of referees. ’• Proposed by Mr Nash, seconded by Mr O’Rourke, that Mr Robinson be appointed manager for the team to play Manawatu in Palmerston North on Saturday next.—Carried. CLUB RULES. A deputation from the llahui Club waited on the Union in connection with proposed rules for that Cluib. Proposed by Mr O’Rourke and sec T onded by Mr Hardy that the rules of the Riahui Cluib as submitted be passed and that the club be congratulated on their initiative in drawing up such a fine set.—Carried.

Proposed toy Mr O’ltourke, seconded by Mr Hutchins, that the FoxtonSh'a.iinon Third Grade match be played at the end of the season if necessary—Carried. ■ A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Nash foa* the use of his room concluded the meeting.
