SHANNON v. LEVIN
On Saturday afternoon Ave rinks from the Shannon Bowling Club visited Levin and engaged the local Club ,in a friendly game. Honours were j even, far although Levin won on the aggregate scores by 106 to 104, Shannon won on rinks, securing three out of the five played. The rinks ware as I follow, Shannon being given first in \ each, case: — "Wiggins, Dr. Macdonald, Challies, Murphy (skip) 22 y. Anderson, Frost, Brown, Inder (skip) 14. I Newton, Aim, Gunning, Wliibley * (skip) 19 v. Pink, Foss, Hawke, Rankin (skip) .17. Blight, Hendry, Butt, Quarrie (skip) 19 v. Ingram;,! Shennan,,' Pyke and Wilson (skip) 29. Cooper, Watterston, B. Bull, Murray (skip) 14 v. Clements, Hotchen, McLeavey, Harris (skip) 23. Gardner, Morgan, B. Spencer, E. Spencer (skip) 30 v. "Casey, Gibson', Channings, Bull (skip) 53. After the game the president of the Shannon Club, Mr B. Spencer, turned thanks to the Levin bowlers for the pleasant afternoon which had been spent and expressed the hope ■that a, return match would be 1 arranged shortly. Mr W. Bull, president of the Levin CluJb, suitably re-, plied.. During the afternoon tea was supplied by the ladies and was greatly I appreciated.
