TOKOMARU NEWS.
Mr Phillip, the local schoolmaster, has purchased a farm, at Makema, and will he taking up his residence there in a few weeks’ time.
Miss Higgs, also of the school staff, has been appointed sole charge teacher of a. school near Gisborne.
Miss Kelly, who is at present an inmate of a private hospital in Palmerston North, is making slow progress towards recovery. Mrs Thompson, who is in thei same hospital, is now convalescent. Mr and Mrs returned homo from their holiday Inst week, as also did Mrs T. Ryder and her small son.
