LEVIN MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

The monthly meeting of the Levin Magistrate’s Court was held this morning, Mr ,7. L. Stout' presiding, when a lengthy list of police and civil cases wiere dealt with. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. *

In the case of E. Allmand v. K. Garter, claim for £l6 2s, an order was made for the amount claimed with costs £1 Is, to be paid forthwith, in default 14 days’ imprisonment SHANNON BY-LAW GASES.

Alice Frances Churcher, on a charge of allowing a horse to stray within Ibe Shannon Borough unattended was fined 10s and costs 7s.

John *Bresnehan, charged with allowing two horses to wander within the Borough, was fined £1 and costs

William Gardner, for allowing five cows to winder within the Borough, wins fined £2 and costs 7s. Edward Sothern charged with being the’ owner of a horse wandering unattended was fined 5s and costs 7s. William Davis, being the owner of three wandering horses was fined £1 and costs 7s.

William Christian being the owner of one horse fined 10s and costs 7s. Samuel William Carter being the owner of one horse found wandering was fined 10s and costs 7s. Frederick Small similarly charged in respect of one cow was fined 10s and 7s costs. Roland Hayes on three charges of allowing horses to stray unattended, contended that the gate was left open by workmen going through his property. Information dismissed. - ' CASE OF SPEEDING.

Leonard William Curgenven, charged with driving a motor car within the Borough of Levin at ,a speed greater than 12 miles per hour was fined £2 and costs 7s. Wm. Bowling, charged with that on the 28th February be did ride a cycle within the Levin Borough without lights, \vns fined 5s and costs 12s. CLAIM FOR RENT.

In the case of Ruihi Weipeihaiia v. .1. Flutey clntm for £152 18s 4d for rent alleged to be due, judgment was reserved-
