WHO ARE MY PARENTS?

A MODERN SOCIAL PROBLEM

"Who are my Parents?" the William Fox special which comes to the aiaorilaiid Theatre oiexli Saturday,, may safely be. recommended to all screen patrons in search of clean, wiholesomie yet vivid entertainment. The storv in itself is so human and appealing that it does not need the name of any well known star to make it a financial success. The cast is a perfectlv balanced one and has been so ably* 1 directed that the entire performance of the "picture is a source of fine entertainment. The efforts of the father to prevent his daughter from marrying the man she loves starts a series of emotional complications that are brought up to a powerful climax. Humorous incidents of child life relieve the dramatic tension o fthe serious scenes. McGUIRE OF THE MOUNTED. Sergeant Bob McGuire, of the Northwest Mounted Police, drew a packet yO'f trouble when he was assigned by tbie major of the post to break up the smuggling operations of a gang of border bandits. But that trouble was only a drop in the" bucket to the. riot that broke loose when the major thought that he fond caught his subordinate making love to his wife. When [the battle ended the major lay on the floor of the bacin with a bullet in his breast and McGuire was a fugitive from the force he had served faithfully for venrs. A member of the smuggling ganfl had cleverlv planned the whole affair. There " are plenty of thrills, dramatic action and human interest in "McGuire of the Mounted," the Universal photoplay in which William Hesmond is starred, which will be shown at the, Maoriland Theatre on Monday evening.
