TENNIS.
With the object of creating a little more general interest among all the members of the local Tennis ‘Club, a match! has been arranged for next Wednesday afternoon between two teams of local players. No. .1 team: Ladies: Mrs Morgan, Mrs Toidge, Mrs Whibley, Mrs Easton, Mrs Terry, Miss Brown, Miss Gordon, Miss I. King, Mrs Pope, Mrs Smith, Miss Eason. Men: Captain, Mr Quarrie, Messrs Bo.vis, Andrew, Jennings, Bartholomew, Burns, Moody, Mitchell. iNo. 2 team: Ladies—'Mrs Bovis, Mrs Lauirvig, Mrs MerwOod, Miss Terry, Miss Butler, iMiss M. Brown, Miss Curran, Mrs Hardie, Miss Watterston, Mrs Hoskings, Miss Aim. Men—Captain, Anderson, Messrs Thwaites, Hook, Zohi, Murphy, Wells, Wallace, Hunter.
Any members not mentioned here, but who can find it convenient to be present for the afternoon, will be allotted places in the teams. Play will commence at 2 p.m. and it is requested that all who possibly ,can will be on the court to time.
