“MERRY GO ROUND.”
Count Max von Holienegg, reckless scion of a proud family, is the Emperor's right hand man. Acmes LU-gun-is an organ grinder in a merry-go-rohnd on the Prater —Vienna’s Coney Island. The Count sees her pretty face and decides here is the opportunity for another conquest.' But the disparity of their caste would hinder his desire—it could mot mean respect and marriage in Agnes’ eyes, so he introduces himself a;s a necktie salesman. Agnes is charmed with his looks and manners and a few short weeks do the rest. Then a friend informs her that her handsome lover is not what he claims to be, but a member of the hated nobility. At this juncture, the gathering war clouds break. Before departing for the front, Franz comes to her, but she sends him away. The war, how* ev/er, brushed aside all, caste was a thing of the past, the Countess had died, the merry-go-round of life brought Franz and Agnes .together again, with no barriers to a happy marriage—-and 'the sweetest ending ever given a story’ in reel or real life. The foregoing is a short resume of the great picture to be shown at the Maoriland Theatre on Friday.
