FOXTON CLUB MEETS.
In moying the adoption of the balance sheet at.the annual meeting of the Foxton Football Club, Mr D. Christie said that he considered the club had had a very successful year, commencing with only & lew shillings and ending the season with a credit balance ot £ls, tie was. a football enthusiast, but he did not feel inclined to give the club much support unless at least one rep. match a year was played at "Foxton. Mr Hutchins, Club delegate, said that last season Foxton was allocated the Rangitikei rep. match, but unfortunately Rangitikei did n-qt tour. The Union then decided that the East Coast rep. match be played here, but unfortunately this team did not come. There was, however, a recommendation before, the Union now that the Manawatu rep. match be played at Foxton this coming season. Mr H,. Robinson was elected secretary, and Mr H. Hutchins delegate to the Union.
it was decided to (hold a goal kicking competition and a seyen-a-side tournament, open tq all financial memhers, to commence on the 22nd March. Decided to enter four teams in the H©rowh|enua Rugby Union competition, namely, Senior, Junior, .Thirds and Fourths.
As the outcome of a general discussion during the evening as to whether unflnanciai members should toe allowed to vote, Mr E. Bryant moved that only financial members be entitled to voting power./ This motion was carried. It was decided that subs, be as follow for the ensuing year:—Senior and Juniors ss, Thirds 2s 6d, Fourths Is, insurance 2s fid.
