Snannon i>, P.N. 1. Fourth.—Shannon were lying three when the skips went down. Whibley drew another and secured four. Shannon 7, Palmerston North 1. Fifth.—Butt touched with his first. Gagliardi lay another. Wilson drew second shot. Whibley drew a beauty but Trott promoted a bowl and lay the shot. Shannon 8, P.N. 1. Sixth.—Butt lay a toucher with his second. Gagliardi added another. Wilton drew the shot, which was hot altered by the skips. Seventh.—Rowlingi drew a nice Shot and Wilson added 2 more. Whibley drew a beautiful shot with his first. Shannon 9, Palmerston North 2.
Eighth.—Rowling again got the shot which Quarrie beat. Whibley drew a second with a nice shot. Trott just failed to improve. Shannon 11, Palmerston North. 2.
Ninth.—Gagliardi drew the shot with his second which Wilson heat. Whibley missed his drive. Shannon 11, Palmerston North 3.
Tenth. This was the first long head. Shannon could not find the green. Palmerston lay 4. Whibley promoted another for" them, leaving them sup on the head. Shannon 11, Palmerston North 8.
11th.—Palmerston North's lead lay the shot. Quarrie carried kitty but without success. Whibley's drive missed. Shannon 11, P.N. 9.
12th.—Rowling was now playing wen. He lay tihe shot which was not altered. Shannon* 11, P.N. 10. 13th.—On a full length head, 3utt drew a nice shot/ The second and third all played short. Trott ran the shot out and Whibley missed, bringing the scores equal. Shannon 11, Palmerston .North 11.
»14th.—Gagliardi pushed a P.N. bowl up, giving th-em the shot. Whibley was short and Palmerston led for the first time. Palmerston North 12, Shannon 11. 15th.—Gagliardi lay with a toucher. Whibley was first over and Trott rested the shot bowl out, giving them 2. Palmerston North 14, Shannon, 11. 16th.—Rowling lay a toudher and Wilson added another. Whibley was short. Palmerston N. 16, Shannon 11.
17th.—Butt, with a good shot, 1 eat Rowling's toucher. Gagliardi drew another. Quarrie drew another lovely shot and it now looked as if Shannon's luck would change, (but not so —Trott drove and put two of Shannon's out. Wlhibley with a fine ball, drew another,, but Trott promoted a bowl and got the shot. Palmerston North 17, Shannon 11.
18th.—Rowling drew two nice shots, which Wilson improved. Trott drew a 4.- Whibley played a beauty and got the shot. 'Trott pushed another up for Shannon, wftio now moved off the 11 mark which they got at the Bth head. Palmerston North 17, Shannon 13.
19th.—Palmerston North was lying 2 when the skips Went down, which was not altered. Palmerston: North 19, Shannon 13. 20.—Wilton drew 2 nice shots «nd Wilson added another. Whibley missed with a Awn shot, but carried kitty for the shot with his second. Palmerston North 19, Shannon. 14. 21st.—Palmerston North were lying threie when tftie skips went down, and the head was unaltered. Palmerston North 22, Shannon 14.
