FACTORY PAY-OUTS FOR JANUARY.
[ For the period 'January-February, the Levin Co-op Dairy Company paid out \s 7d per lb, as compared with Is 6d for the corresponding period of The good season which has been experienced and the immensity of its exports is now being- reflected by a decline in the English market, where the ruling rate for butter is 194/ to 198/, the best qualities reaching 200/. Cheese is being disposed of at 92/\to 9'6/ for first grade in both white and coloured. It is estimated that the export figures for this month will exceed
by a great deal those of the corresponding month of. last year.
] The pay-outs of the different companies in the district are as under:— Shannon, butter 1/8;, Whakaronga, butter 1/7, cheese 1/6; New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union, butter 1/6J; Rongotea, butter, 1/6; Kairanga, butter, 1/6, cheese 1/5; Ravenswood, cheese, 1/5; Tiakitahuna, cheese 1/4; Manawatu-Reliance, cheese, 1/4. The Rongotea factory is making an additional payment of Id for October supplies, thus making a payment to date of 1/6 per lb on all butter-fat received this season, a total of £63,360. The grade attained by this factory is still touching 95 points, while the Shannon factory has maintained 94 throughout the past month. The New Zealand j Dairy Farmers' Union's payment for the month is £15,341 1/11. I
