(From Our Own Correspondent.) The school picnic, which was held •at Pli'mm'Pi'ton lon Saturday, whs greatly enjoyed by the larje number of people who took part in the outing. A kitchen tea is to be given to Miss Eileen Judd on Tuesday evening As she has. spent practically all her life in this district, and has tak A n an interest in its social life, this should be a popular movement. Mr George met with a nasty accident while cycling down one of the hills on the Linton road. She sustained severe abrasions to his face and hands and was badly shaken. Hie was conveyed to his home in Mr Whyte s car, being picked up in a semi-con-scious condition.
The young ladies of Tokomaru are holding a leap year dance on the 29tlb. Unattached young men, beware! The health of Mrs McHardile still continues to be unsatisfactory, and she was conveyed to a private hospital in Shannon for further treatment Mr Dalziell has also been removed to a hospital in Pahnerston.
