NEXT SATURDAY’S FIXTURE

On Saturday next on the Domain the above Club will bold their first meeting for the. season. Ah .... pessary arrangements lor holding tlu fixture are w/eil in hand, and judging by tbe number of .entries received lor all e.vents, .which show a big increase om tjlie previous jiutpung;, there is every indication of this year s gathering being quite as success! m us last year’s, ii the Club is favoured with a fine day. Since last meeting several improvements nave been made to the track, which is now in good order and as a result some good tunes shooid b,e registered. Arrangements have also been 'made which wjll enable the spectators to get a better view of the ©vents and also to see the finish of each event from any part of the Oval. Mr Berry wiJI have charge of the catering and from him everything in the way of refreshments can he obtained.. Tbe Foxton Band has been engaged and will render selections during the day. The first event will start at 11.30 a.m. and as the Club is putting on a largo programme the committee, requests all competitors in the wood chopping and field events tq be on their mark at the advertised time. The list of handicaps will he published in the next issue of the News.
