Y.M.G.A. DRAWS WITH WERAROA

The best game of the present cricket season resulted on Saturday afternoon in Y.M.G.A. tying with Weraroa for a score of 95 on the first innings. Y.M.G.A. went in first, the Rev. Mr Harris putting up a useful 39, the only other double-figure scorers being Walker 19 and Auckram 13. Weraroa opened up badly, the lour first wickpts falling for hi runs. Pringle and Davis then went in. and the partuersliip took the score to 47 before Davis was bowled. Pringle carried on and was caught at fine slip when the score stood at 69. Marshall followed and successfully withstood thie onslaughts of the Y.M.G.A. bowlers, carrying his bat for 25, and. making the game a draw and one of the most exciting seen locally for a long period.
