DAIRY EXPORT BOARD.
p GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES. WELLINGTON, Jan.. 14. Arrangements are Avell under Avay for completing the personnel of' the Dairy Produce Control Board, "so that it may he enabled to commence its sittings. The election of producers' representatives Ava.s completed just before Christmas, leaving the appointment pi two Government representatives and one representative of commercial interests to be arrangted for. The lastmentioned -appointment is not mandatory, but his Excellency the GovernorGeneral Avill be recommended to make it. A** regards Government representation, Mr O. J. Hawken, M.P., has been selected for a seat on the board and it is hoped to AH frh'e remaining seat by an appointment from the South Island, Avhere the producers have elected two candidates from Southland and one from Canterbury. Certain gentlemen who have been approached in this connection have found themselves unable, presumably from personal or business reasons, to accept the responsibility and this has prevented the completion of the board at quite as early a date, as had been intended. It is anticipated, however, that everything will be in order m time for the board to hold its first meeiting 'before the send of the present month.
