A YEAR'S BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES. The vital statistics for Levin for the year 1923 show a slight decrease in births and marriages and a similar increase in the number of deaths as compared with the returns of 1922. Births make up a total of 99, a labing 1 off of 5 as compared with the previous year, and of 16. .against the total of 115 in 1920. Deaths totalled 30 as against 2? in 1922. This is the largest number since 1919,, when the same figures wei'e recorded. Marriages are six short of the. previous year—23 as against 29. The statistics for the last four years are.— • , 1919 1920 1921 1922 1923 Births 62 115 115 104 99 Deaths ..., 30 S 4 19 27 30 Marriages 26 45 26 29 23 The registrations for the quarter ended December 31 were: Births 28, deaths 8, marriages 5.
