QUEEN CARNIVAL.
FINAL RALLY.
On Thursday and , Friday evenings next at 7 p.m., a monster bazaar and Uig-of-war tournament will be,held in the Druids' Hall as a final rally on behalf of the various queens, whose committtes have been working hard for some time to ralsfe, money sh that Shannon's Domain can be made .a pleasure ground that will be in keeping, with, th(e best of otheir towns. A feature of each evening's entertainment will he then tug-of-war, tournament for which seyeral teams have entered and it is anticipated there will hie some keen contests.' 'Great rivalry is expected between the stall holders,'as each committee is making every effort to have in stock anything that ai. purchaser may require. There- Avill also be competitions and games to suit young and old and as it will be the last opportunity to give something to {the cauisie; it hehoves everyone to attend and show what Shannon really can do when it tries. Arrangements havie heen made for a brass band to he in attendance.
\ A-dance will he held in the Ihakara schoolroom: on Wednesday evening by the supporters of the Farmers' Queen. The committeie of the Farmers' Quteen will hold a dance in the Pariah Hall on Wednesday evening to raise funds to further their candidate's return.:
