The grand concert to foe govern in •the Maoriland Theatre next Thursday night promises to be something) well worth going to hear. The beautiful dresses to be 1 worn by the chorus girls have been made by Mesdames Lauirvig, Terry, Bishop and Riches, and the writer—'who has viewed the frocks—assures the public that to see the dress and dances will be wtell worth the 2s charged for admission, without hearing the .beautiful music which is included in the programme. The committee has planned rather a noveli idea in connection with the sale of tickets. - Ticket holders will notice t their tickets are' numbered, and hear the quotation "This maybe; the' lucky nujmiber.'' The 'explana-tion'-is as follows:—.Prizes' to the value of 10s, ss, and two prizes of 2s 6d each are being given to the holders of certain numbers.
