GRAND CONCERT.

A grand concert in aid of .the candidature of the Sports Queen (Miss E. King) Will be held in the Maorilanti Theatre on, Thursday, November 22. There will he snappy choruses., original dances, humorous sketches, vocal and instrumental solos, duets, quartettes, etc. The dressing of the chorus will be something new to Shannon audiences. The spectacular effect alone will be well worth the money. A novielty item produiced especially "for the entertainment of the children will be the Dance of the Rag Dolls. Arrangements have" been, made for the appearance of several artists new to Shannont audiences. A treat is assured all who attend and the management advises everyone to buy a ticket and perhaps get the lucky number which, entitles the holder to a, prize. The organisers are Mrs Bovfe and Messrs Quarrie and Bishop, which should be sufficient to guarantee a good show. The Sports Queen Committee are holding a dance in the Parish Hall on Saturday eyeninig. . The correct weight of the sheep at the Fawners' Bazaar was 45lbs, Mr Conchie being the The dance heid in Lhe Parish Hall on Wednesday evening last in aid' of the Farmers' Queen, was financially and socially a suicoess. Another dance for the same queen will take place tonight .at Miranui. All attending are assured of an-enjoyable time.
