ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEETING.
A meeting of the Boxing Association was held on Friday to make final arrangements for the. I'orthcanving 'tournament to be held in the Druids' Hall on- Saturday evening, November 24th. Mr G. Murphy presided. ' ' CORRESPONDENCE. From, secretary, Manawatu Boxing Association, re application r from Shannon for permit to hold a tourney, asking lor information as to. class;, duration aiid number of rounds, names of contestants and the prizes offered for each event. —Secretary to forward information as asked ft> r - '* ■ From secretary, of Wellington. Centre, N.Z. Boxing Association, stating the N.Z. Council have , advised that they have every desire to facilitate the Shannon Association's affiliation, also that if the Association desire to, promote a contest it can be carried out under t the control of the! Manawatu Boxing Association. He also stated that arrangements are be.ufg made for-a "pxu'ty from Wellington to visit Shannon on the night ot the contest .and that the Wellington Centre desire to congratulate Shannon on the success 01-their efforts. *
A copy of the rules as presented" by the sub-committee at thje conference of associations held at Wellington on 30th ultimo ■; which have been adopted,' was received.
