OBITUARY.
MR B. H. CLARIDGE. The death is reported from Kaponga (Taranaki) as the result of 'pneumonia, of ai well-known ex-Levin residents in the person of Mr E. 11. Claridge, who was a resident ol' the town for some five years until his departure, for Taranaki six months ago, and .previous to that lived in Otaki. Deceased was knowri particularly for th e / deep interest he took in all sports matters. An .ex-Wellington representative player in both football and cricket, he maintained his association with those sports (Turing his residence locally, being a valued member of the Horow’henuat Referees’ Association, and. a prominent player for the Wera■rola; Cricket, Club. He was also interested'in' hockey arid played for the local Excelsior Club for some time. The lait© Mr Cla,ridge was ,a, native of Kilbimie, where his parents still reside, and Was only 45 years of age at the time of Iris , death. Ho loaves a wife and six children, and to these will be extended the sympathy of a large circle of friends in, their sad loss.
