MEETING- OF COMMITTEE.

A committee meeting of the Ho.rowhenua A. and P. Association for vhe purpose ol arranging preliminaries in connection with the forthcoming show was held at the office -of i lie secretary, Mr R. D. Wallace), on Tuesday afternoon, the president, Mr G. H. Kingdon, presiding. There were also present: Messrs R. V. Brown, N Horrobin, F. H. Best, J. Kebbell, F. R. Wright, F. Davis, J. W. Procter, R. L. Horn. J. Howell, A. McLeavey, R. McDonald, and H. J. Lancaster. GENERAL,

Letters were received from the Levin and Ivuku D'airy Companies intimating their intention to make their usual donation of £5 5s -each to the butter-fat -competition prize money. It was resolved that, admittance to the grandstand at next show be in- ■ from 2s 6d to 3s. The resignation of Mr R. Kingdon, who is shortly leaving lor the- Argentine, was accepted with regret, Mr W. Wilkinson was elected a member of the Association. ELECTION OF COMMITTEES.

Messrs F. R. Wright, F. H. R. Gorringe, R. V. Brown .and the president were appointed Finance Committee for the ensuing year. It, was decided that it be advertised that entries are now being accepted for the butter-fat competition and-that the following have been appointed stewards for the district; Messrs I. D. Brown, Ohau Bridge to Mannkau ■ R. L. Horn, Weraroa; F. Davis, Ihakara ; and ,T. Howell. Koputaroa. Those wishing to enter for the competition should notify the .secretary, ,Avben -.'samples' of milk will be taken by the stewards.

The’ usual vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
