The old-established brewery firm of Simpson and Hart, at Lawrence (Otago), will cease to . exist this month, as the concern has been purchased bv the New Zealand Breweries. Brewing operations will not, be Carried-’on at Wetherstones by the new oivners. Ifc is’stated in Lawrence that the purchase money was £24,000.
