On Saturday the Shannon L - Golf Club sent a team ol twelve players to play a return match -against the Manawatu, Golf Club. Tbe match, played under perfect weather conditions, proved -most enjoyable and resulted. in a win for the local club by 8i- to 3J. The following are detailed results, Palmerston North players being mentioned first:—P. L. Sim defeated Morgan; J: H. Whyte defeated Murphy; N. Gibbons lost to Saxon.; B. J. Jacobs lost to B. Seifert; Stubbs defeated Dr. McDonald; Spencer defeated Gagliardi; Osterm-an defeated Anderson; Hopwood defeated Dinnie; Hubble halved with Marsh-banks; Wright defeated King; Grant lost to Johnston; Tennant defeated ’Rev. Abbott.
