Tlie month of July marked tinopening ol' the dairy season locally and al hough the past, month has witnessed a commencement which compares favourably with the corresponding month of last year, tiio indifferent, climatic conditions have retarded the growth of the grass and the effect on the present month’s intake will probably he noticeable. Latest advices from London quote butter at 176 s to 184 s and cheese at 110 s to 112 s, these figures being slightly below those of the corresponding month of 1922. The following factories have announced their payments for the period of Julv-AugustLevin Is 7d, Shannon.ls 7d, Awahurl Is 6d, New Zealand Dairy Union Is 6d, Whakaronga Is 6d, Newbury Is 6d, Ravenswood Is 6d. Ivairanga Is sd, Rongotca Is sd, Manawaitu-Reliance Is 3d and Tiakitahuna Is 3d.
