NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Niht

A special meeting - of sliareholdeis of the Taranaki Farmers’ Meat Company Ud.. was held this afternoon. The chairman of directors, Mr. NewtonKins? submitted a report on the works by Mr. L. N. Macßeth, of Christchurch who advised that the works should be re-capitalised. The proposed capital is 180,000 in £5 preferential shares. The meeting adjourned for six

weeks, after carrying the following resolution unanimously: “ That this me ting is of the opinion that immediate steps should be taken to obtain applications for preferential shares up to a sufficient amount to enable the company to re-start the works, and that a committee of 12 persons be set up to work with the directors for the purpose of carrying out the above proposals.”
