To what extent a blind person can identify people who form part of the daily association is the ,problem brought up in “Sonny,” R'ichard Barthehness’s production for First National Pictures, will be seen on Wedneday. Joe Peters, the character taken by the star in “Sonny” its a returned war veteran, who, to fulfil a pledge made to his dying comrade takes the latter's place at the side, of his blind mother. Unusual complications develop ami the seemingly ear-v task of making .a' lonely soul happy becomes fraught with obstacles and danger. How the heart-rending situation is .solved in a manner in which the strongest ’appeal is made by the unaffected delineation given by Barth'elmess to the leading character.
