LOVE ON A BALCONY.
ROMEO SUES THE FATHER. SAYING IT WITH FLOWERS. LONDON, April 29. A real life Romeo in Berlin has sued Juliet’s father for heaving flower-pots at liis head when fopnd climbing the balcony to his sweetheart’s room. Romeo was Max, a suburban barber; Juliet was Freida, a shop girl, and daughter of a locksmith. Both played as Romeo and Juliet in an amateur society’s performance. The locksmith and liis wife at night time heard whispering in Freda's room, and found Mux on the bedroom balcony window. The father warned him off, but the same thing ocosurred the second night, and then the irate parent threw flower-pots. He " didn’t miss once,” he proudly told the judge, who said he must punish him, but finally let him off with a caution. He learned later that Juliet had eloped with her lover.
