SHANNON ATHLETIC CLUB’S MEETING.

TO-MORROW—SATURDAY

To-morrow will be a red letter day for Shannon, the occasion being the above Club’s sports meeting. The club, was only formed about six weeks ago, and the members have been hard at work in' arranging the details for the fixture and have been most successful in obtaining trophies and donations, the public responding readily. The membership and entries received has been beyond all expectation and everything points to the Club becoming one of the most successful on the coast. There will be plenty of events, which should create interest and given a fine day there should be a large atendance. The business premises in Shannon will be closed from 12 noon until 4 p.m. The Otaki Bras.-, Band will be in attendance and will render dtems during the day. All who attend can look forward to an enjoyable day.
