SHANNON WATER SUPPLY SCHEME
TENDERS FOR PIPES. The tenders lor the supply of pioes and material for above scheme closed on Monday lust and at Tuesday nig’d’s meeting of the Council the ten iers were opened, the following firms icndering:—John Burns anil Co., '.ld. (Auckland), Stcwarl and Lloyd's, Ltd. (Wellington), Spiral Lock and Gar Steel Pipe Co. (Wanganui), John Duthie and Co., Ltd. (Wellington), A. and T. Burt (Dunedin), T. Ballinger and Co. (Wellington), Anderson’s Ltd. (Christchurch), Hume Concrete Co. (Masterton), A. and D. Riley and Co., Ltd. (Wellington). After some discussion, as to considering the tenders it was decided on the motion of the Mayor that the Engineer be asked to tabulate the various tenders and to submit to the Council. In pursuance of resolution the Engineer to have charge of tenders and to re11nn on demand.
