QUESTION OF LICENSES. SEVERAL APPLICANTS REFUSED. Great interst lues been taken in the meetings of the Licensing Committee of the Neiv Zealand Racing Conference which was hold in Wellington this week, and yesterday the following official announcement was made; — Trainers’ licenses were granted as follows: — Auckland District—-Kelly, O. E. IL 'Wellington Disl rret— Young. W. S. The committee suspended Trainer P. Johnston for four months. In Jam- PMh The applications for reinstatement of their trainer’s licenses by F. Weston and C. Milieu were refused. The applications of the following for trainer’s licenses were not granted:— Hodge, 8. N., Peters, A., Telford, 11. A. Jockeys’ licenses were granted as follows; Hawke’s Ray District.--Raker, K. M., Bittle, J. R. (Both conditional per. emp.) Wanganui District.-- Cyme, R. C. (Conditional per. emp.) Wellington District.—Olsen, ,1. E. The application!; for reinstatement o<’ their jockey’s licenses by O’Shea, J--8., Reid, T. L., Beale, J. A., and MsSevenv, 'C. G., were granted subject lo certain conditions. G. 11. R. Camion I > application was refused. The following applications for jockey’s licenses were not granted: Lowdown, A. S., Deelev, B. ; Mc-Sevcny, R. R., Bowden, W. J. Apprentice jockey licenses "<-’re gr:>ited to Grattan, G., and Rains b n. ,T. TV., of tlic Wellington district, Ramsden's license being for apprentice*’ race only to June loth next.
