LITTLE change from east WEEK.

At the Addington market to-day tivre were larger yardings. Fat lambs irn Droved in price, store sheep showed rather a decided drop for old ewes and other classes showed little change Store Sheep.—A large yarding for th s time of the year, included- lines from Hawke’s Bay. Nelson and Marlborough. Old ewes, which formed the bulk of the yarding, were down 2/- to 3/- a head on last week’s prices. Good eves were a 1/- less. Backward lambs v >re easier by 1/- to 1/6, good sorts allowing little difference, and passings of ewes were frequent. Good four, six and eiglit-tooth ewes, 27/- to es/4; ordinal'v two four, six and eight t.->oth 23/- to 26/2; inferior two, four, six and eiglit-tooth, 15/- to 22/6; ordinary two tooth halfbred, 29/-; fail-Ibig-mouthed. 13/6 to 18/6; aged. 5/8 to 12/2; forward lambs, 21/8 to 23/3*; ordiuarv. 14/6 to 19/-; inferior, 11/to 14/-; cull, 5/S to 10/6; four, six. and eight-tooth halfbred wethers, 21/to 25/-; two-tooth halfbred wethers, 19/6 to 22/3. Fat Lambs. —Three thousand two hundred and fifty were penned, with a recovery of 1/- per lie&d, tile over-all price being fully 91d. per lb., cases touching on id. Extra prime sorts realised 32/6 to 35/9; a few special to 37/6; prime, 2S/- to 31/6; medium, 25/6 to 27/9; light. 23/- to 25/3. Fat Sheep.—There was a bigger yarding and values for good mutton were unaltered from last week. Extra prime wctlicrs made 33/6 to 40/-; prime, • 29/9 to 33/-; medium, 27/6 to 29/6; light, 24/6 to 27/-; extra prime ewes to 35/-; prime,- 26/- to 28/6; medium, 22/6 to 25/6; inferior, 18/- to 21/6; old, 15/- to 17/-. Fat Cattle. —An exceptionally heavy yarding of 513 head raet with a dragging market. Extra prime beef made to 28/6 per 1001 b.. averaging up to 27/-; good beef brought 24/- to 26/-; medium. 22/- to 23/6; rough to 12/6; extra prime steers fetched £l4 to £l6 15/-; others, £ll 5/- to £l3 10/-; medium. £8 5/- to £11; light, £6 to £8; extra prime heifers, £lO 7/6; prime £6 5/- to £8; ordinary, £3 15/- to £6; extra prime cows to £10; prime. £5 15/- to £7 15/-; ‘ordinary, £5 to £5 10./-; old cows, £2 15/- to £3 17/6. Of vealers there was a large entry. Good runners realised up to £5; ordinary, £3 15/- to £4 15/-; small calves, S/- upwards. , Store Cattle. —There was a poor lot forward and a lifeless sales resulted. Three-year steers sold for £3 10/- to £4; two-year steers, £2 7/6 to £2 12/6; yearlings to 2»/-; 18-months to twoyear heifers £2 5/- to £2 15/-; yearlings, to 30/-.

Dairy Cattle.—A slightly better sale, though inferior sorts neglected. Medium to good springers fetched £5 10/- to £ll 10/-; extra good to £l4; medium to good springing heifers, £b to £10; extra good to £l2 10/-; inferior sorts to 30/-. Fat Pigs.—A large entry of porkers in over-supply, and a decline in price for both porkers and baconers. Choppers fetched £2 to £5 10/-; light baconers, £3 5/- to £3 10/-; heavy baconers. £3 15/- to £4 5/-. average price per lb., 6Jd. to 62d.; ligh.t_pork.crs, £3 to £2 7/-; heavy porkers, £2 10/- to £2 18/-, average price, 73d. to Sid. Store Pigs.—A large yarding and values were lower. Weanors "made 6/- to 15/-; small stores, 17/- to 23/-; medium stores. 28/- to 35/-; large stores, 45/- to 55/-.

Bid.-Sfjcl.; 64 lb. to 721 b., 7d.; over 721 b. s*Jd.-6d.; ewes. —. New Zealand lamb: Best quality 1/-; occassionally 1/0J; sec-ond-class 10d.; North Island, ordinarv, Ud. New Zealand beef; Ox fore's, 3gd.; ox hinds. sd. Chilled beef: Pores. 2Jd.-22d.; hinds 4Sd.-5Jd. English retail prices arc as follow: Mutton: English—legs, 1/7; imported —legs, 1/-; lamb —English, 2/6; imported 1/4; beef—English, ribs 1/9; imported chilled 1/-; imported New Zealand lOd.

Butter.—The market is depressed and pfic-'S irregular. New Zealand (salted) finest, 170/-176/ per cwt. (J./6J-1/6® per lb.); unsalted 184/ISH/ per cwt. (l/7?-l/S per lb.); other qualities IGS/-170/ pe r cwt. (1/6-1/6J per lb.); Australian (salted) finest, IGG/ - 172/ per cwt. (1/41-1/6 per, lb) Argentine 156/- 170/ per cwt. (1/421/6J per lb.). Danish, 182/ - 186/ per cwt. (1/7-5-1/S per lb.). Cheese.—The market is quiet. Spot prices are firm. New Zealand, col'Hircd, 138/- 144/ per cwt, (1/221/3J per lb.); white, 136/- 138/ per cwt. (1/25-1/22 per lb.); Australian, coloured. 132/ - 140/ per cwt. per cwt. (1/22-1/3 per lb.); white. 132/- 134/ per cwt, (1/2J per lb.). The steamers " Port Hunter ” "Maimoa” and “ Arawa” are at present discharging- cargoes of New Zealand produce, while the s.s. “ Remuera ” has also arrived.

Australian shipments from March (0 to March 23 include 85.989 boxes butter.
