Mr Ernest Short has purchased from the Johnston Estate the rich area at Awahuri known as “Highden.” Mr Short has made to the Government a proposition for the use of the (homestead as a national institution. The vehicle has been built by Adam Burges, Ltd., of Palmerston, and the workmanship is in that firm’s usual thorough style.
