$ 7 TWO FIREMEN GAOLED. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Six firemen off the steamer Kauri were charged at the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court this afternoon with Laving- broached cargo to the value of £S fi/6. Joseph Brooks Handblett, Joseph Brigg-, Henry Flinn, Michael O’Halloran. John English and John Gray were the men concerned. _ Evidence was given regarding the 11 ruling of the stolen goods in the firemen's quarters. O’Halloran and f.frigg were convicted and sentenced to four, teen days’ imprisonment, and the ' charges against the others were dismissed, owing to insufficient evidence.
