BIG LORRY CAPSIZES.
NARROW ESCAPES AT) ARAPETJ
The big motor* lorry heionging to the Public Works Department met with an acciuent atArapeti on Thursday. White negotiating the winuiug track between the cookhouse and the canteen, .the front wheels of the lorry felt the road. The fully-laden vehicle rolled over twice, dumping its cargo eh route. A man wlio was riding on the top oi the,load jumped clear, landing'on'a Mump! The driver (Coleman) nianaged-.to make his exit, trum the driving cab just as the lorry rolled over and landed alongside. Fortunately Dr. McDonald was in the camp at the lime, and speedily* attended to both men. The passenger was unhurt, but the driver was severely shaken and is suffering from shock, lie only started on Thursday, and this was Ills first trip on this road.
