TRIANGULAR COMPETITIONS FINAL On the, Levin greeiinhi Wednesday, the third round of the Triangular competition took pta.ee under 1 ideal /weather conditions. The green was not in good order, nevertheless the players from the outside clubs picked up the pace better-than, the Levin players, scoring 77 to the local men’s 75. Levin’s position in the series was such th%t the other teams had not much hope of deposing them from the lead, which took some of the interest .out of. the competition, though' the visitors played ;a keen game. Levin wa,s 4 points, ahead on the two previous games, and playing lour rinks on the- green against the other clubs’ two ■ each, they had an undoubted advantage from tire beginning. ' Nevertheless there was keen competition for second, place, which -was eventually won by Shannon by one point, on the last.head. , The- rinks were as follows: — i. Shannon No. I.—Shannon, Murray, Murphy, Knowles (skip). Shannon , No. 2.—Butt, Spencer, Ro-ach, .Fargher (skip).' Foxton, No. I.—E. Healey, Huntley, C. H. Pearson, J. Ross (skip).

Levip, No. 4.-tMcLeavey, Reading, 'Suhaiij Harris (skip). For Foxton, Ross played a very good game, being consistent throughout. Knowles, of Shannon, showed line form against the local skip, Rankin. Fargher and Clements’ game was very closely contested, Clements eventually wihning by 6 points. Following are the fscores for the game:—

In the absence of the Shannon president (Mr McKegg), Mr E. Spencer, vice-president, complimented the Levin Club on winning the Shield lor the second year In succession, and also lor the j sportsmanlike way in which the matches were played.

Mr W. Bull suitably replied on behalf of the Levin Club. The Levin Club propose paying Shannon an official visit before the 0 close of the season.
