LAST WEEK’S PHENOMENAL FLOODS. It is now officially stated that last week’s floods at Mangaliao caused considerably more damage to the construetioh works 'than was at first believed.' It will take three or four months to repair the inroads of the river, and the completion l of the scheme, promised for the end of the current year, will be delayed to that extent.
