The Independent says that on Wednesday there passed through Cam- • bridge the largest flock for many a; year, comprising a mob of 4000 sheep,} which are being driven from the Gis-1 borne district to Ngaruawahia. The j drovers expect to reacJh their destina- } tion on Saturday. 'They will then have traversed between four and five hundred miles, and will have been on the road for exactly seven weeks.' The average day's journey, has been about nine miles. The siheep are in first-class condition, despite their long journey, and have stood the long trek excellently. A team of twenty doge Is 'engaged in the big drive, and it was a treat to watch these sagaci-' ous amimals at their work.
