Association's show on January 31 and February 1 are reminded that all entries with- the exception of post entries, close to-mor-row (Saturday) with the -secretary, Mr R. D. Wallace, Box 27, Levin. The show is creating a good deal of interest this year among breeders and others, and everything considered the exhibition should be the best yet held by the Association. Not only is every section of live stock catered for, but a popular feature of the show is the excellent programme of competitions that is provided each day, and which has become such a big attraction with show patrons. There 'are two big jumping events that are -endowed with £2O each as first- prize, and there are besides pony and apple races, and men’s and ladies’ riding, driving, turning and other competitions. Another good event is the sheepdog trial, and there are no end of side shows and attractions for both young and old. The show is a real holiday outing, and as sucli has become recognised as one of the best country fixtures of the kind in this portion of the North Tsiand.
