WEDDING.

BARNETT—WICKLIFFE

The wedding was celebrated at the .Anglican Church on Wednesday in the presence of a large attendance of friends, of Miss Catherine E. Wickliffe, eldest daughter of the late Mrs Wickliffe, of Stout Street, Shannon, and Mr John Barnett, late of Bath, England, but now of Shannon. The Rev.

Abbott officiated, and the music tor the service was played by Mrs Taylor, L.A.B. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr L. Wickliffe, was daintily attired in a dress of cream satin, her beautiful veil being held in place by a wreath of real flowers. She carried a. bouquet of white lilies and carnations. She was attended by Miss D. Gunning as bridesmaid, whose dress was of pale lemon silk crepe, her bouquet being of sweet peas' and ferns. Mr J. Hindson, of Wellington, acted as best, man. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the bride’s residence, where the breakfast was partaken of, several toasts being honoured, whbh were as follows: "Bride and Bridegroom,” by Rev. Abbott, replied to by bridegroom; “Bridesmaids,” Mr K. Mitchell, replied to by the besT man, Mr J. Hindson; “Guests,” Mr \V. H. Gunning, replied to by Rev. J. S. McKenzie. At the conclusion the happy couple left by car • for Palmerston North, en route to. New Plymouth, where the honeymoon will be spent. Mr and Mrs Barnett, whose future home will be in Shannon, were the recipients of many beautiful presentv Among the guests present at the reception were Mr and Mrs W. TI. Steel, Miss Mid colm, Mrs R. Moynilian, Mrs Nicol and Mr R. McKiech.
