STOCK SALE.

PRICES AT SHANNON.

A stock sale was held at Shannon on Wednesday, when there was a good attendance. A large entry of cattle came forward, mostly stores, but there was little demand. Only one small entry of sheep came to hand. Several lines were advertised, but failed to put in an appearance. A few head of dairy cattle were offered, but the demand was quiet. Following were the prices realised: Sheep: Woolly hoggets 28/6. Cattle: Store steers £2 16/6 to £3 9/; store cows £1 19/, £2 6/, £2 15/ to £3; good forward cows £3 15/ to £4 !/, hulls 25/, 35/, £2 17/6 to £5. Pedigree Jersay bulls 6gns to 19Jgns, empty heifers £3 1/ to £3 6/, to £3 15/, two wellbred Jersey heifers £7, springing heifer £7 12/6, cows in milk £2 5/.
