A local resident observed a comma- •' tion in a tree this morning, the principal party in the disturbance being a starling, which was attempting to destroy a sparrow’s nest. The unhappy : sparrows were flitting about uttering pitiful little cries, whilst the destroy-. er went on with his fell work. The starling was shortly after joined by ihree others, which assisted in the. , work of destruction.
