Intimation has been received by the New Zealand Farmers’ Union from the Association Banks that the rate of interest on overdrafts will be re duced when the financial conditions in the Dominion warrant a reduction. “The farmers have the power to dictate, instead of being dictated to,” said Mr T. Buxton, organiser of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union in an address to Levin farmers on Tuesday afternoon, when speaking on the marketing of their produce. He urged the farmers to organise and cooperate to secure the full fruits of their labours. The Cambridge town cluck has adopted the “go-slow” policy. One day it stood at five minutes to ten for a long time. A local wag declares that it is part of the Government’s retrenchment policy, to allow “no tick.”
