“NOBODY’S FOOL” ON SATURDAY.
“Nobody’s Fool” comes to the Shannon Theatre with the vivacious Marie Prevost as the star. This combination of comedy talent promises to make “Nobody’s Fool" one Qf the hits
of tiie season. Shunned by the smart set of fashionable Barton College, poor Polly Gordon almost moped her little life away. She danced like a barracuta out of its element, but even her beauty was hidden under the forbidding blemish of a large pair of tortoise shell glasses. Then came the deluge. Money rained into her life. A nice old aunt had died, leaving poor Polly heir to a million dollar estate. And then you should have seen the. hoys run. They sped like the fire chief going home to lunch. But Polly had made up her mind about men—she decided she didn’t like them. She Went to a little out-of-the-way mountain cabin to escape. Artemus Alger of literary tendencies had the same caustic opinion in regard to the nicer sex. But Fate left an open switch, and Polly Gordon and Artemus Alger collided. “CHICKENS” ON MONDAY. A pqultry faro; does not seem to he a very promising scene for romance, but there is a good deal of both romance and comedy in “Chickens," the star picture for Monday. It has strong supports, and is a programme that is worth a bumper house.
