There passed away at Palmerston on Friday a well-known and respected resident of Longburn in the person of Mr Charles Prouse. The deceased was horn at the Wainui-o-mata, Wellington in 1854. After following agricultural pursuits in the Wellington district during the early part of his life, Mr Prouse moved to Levin, where he was farming until 1009, when he went to a Longburn, residing there for the re<* mainder of his life. He leaves a widow and one son and one daughter.
