GOVERNMENT WILL NOT TAKE

OVER. The Premier has informed Mr E. Newman that the Government does not intend to take over the Moutoa Estate, near Foxton, for close seutiement. Mr Newman had stated that it was reported that owners of this property have objected to the valuation placed thereon by the Valuation Department and have requested that, failing a satisfactory agreement as to

values for taxation purposes, the Government shall take over the property.
