CORRESPONDENCE.

SHANNON BUILDING SCHEME

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—Re the Shannon Borough Council's building scheme, I was very much surprised and disappointed on reading the report in the "Shannon News" of Friday last of the Council's decision in the above matter. Just fancy! In Shannon, where scores are clamouring for houses, and the Council has the money at 4J per cent, they are not game to go ahead and build the stx houses they borrowed the money for, but will "wait and see." Yes, that's it, wait and see if something turns up. That's just what we have been doing in Shannon for a long time past. That is Why Shannon is booming so at the present time, and that is what is going to help it along in the future—l don't think.—l am, etc., "JUST WAIT AND SEE."
