A SOLID GAME. The hardest game that has taken place on the Levin Domain for a long time was that, between the Wanderers and 11 ui Mai on Saturday, which ended in a diaw without score. The visitors, however, had the best of the game, and with more precision on the part of their wing three-quarters would undoubtedly* have registered more than one score. It was a great battle between the opposing packs. 11 ui Mai had the weight in the scrums, but in the loose the play was pretty even. Both, back divisions threw the ball about, on occasion, Purler among the visitors being a tower of strength, and Revan at full back was very safe. Of the forwards, Bob George, Tana, Gardner, Robertson and Wilson played a good game from end to end. Among the • Wanderers’ pack, Jacob, Campion, W. Winiata, Koro, Rose and Henderson Were prominent, and N. and T. Winiata, Hopa and Hannan among the backs.

FXTON BEATS WERAROA. Foxton found "Weraroa a tougher nut to crack than was generally expected on Saturday. The first spell ended without score, although both teams looked like getting across, hut the attacks were beaten off, and at the whistle honours were dven. The Foxton backs were more effective with their passing work in the second bout, and gave the home side no rest. Rush after rush followed, and from these tries were scored by Baker, Mof--I‘att and Taylor, none of which were converted, and left the visitors winners by 9 points to nil. On the day’s play Weraroa did very well, and with a little luck would have landed a score or two, as their forward attacks carried them to the Foxton line on several occasions.
